A short distance from the Golden Triangle along a country road we found this most interesting and tranquil restaurant serving a delicious northern Thai fixed menu.
The children of the village welcomed us to this basic and different place.
The restaurant is staffed by people from the local village and everyone was very friendly and relaxed. We had a wonderful afternoon.
The restaurant provides jobs for the local community and teaches art to kids. There is a small gallery where you can purchase pottery, drawings and assorted handmade crafts. The staff and manager were very friendly.

After lunch, we had the opportunity to wander around the grounds which are beautiful or go to the gallery with the art work of the owner of this restaurant. Her work is charming. Before leaving, the village children said goodbye to us in their native costumes.
