Chanthaburi Provincial Administration in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Rayong Office is organising the Chanthaburi Fruitpital Fair 2016 – the largest annual fruit festival in Thailand’s Eastern Region. The event is scheduled from 21-29 May, 2016 at the Chanthaburi Provincial Administration Organisation Center.

Chanthaburi province is best recognised for its orchards and fruit plantations. Fruits grown here include rambutan, mangosteen, durian, and salacca among many others. To welcome the fruit season and promote the province as Thailand’s leading agricultural destination, the province has organised the fruit fair every year to attract visitors.

Highlights of Chanthaburi Fruitpital Fair 2016 include opportunities to shop for a wide variety of fresh fruit as well as processed fruit products.

learn about innovation and new technologies in fruit plantations, see the demonstration of fruit processing, enjoy the fruit farm tour that allows visitors to pick up fruits from their trees and taste the fruits fresh from farm, and enjoy creative sculptures made from various kinds of fruits.

Anyone visiting Chanthaburi Fruitpital Fair should also take time to explore the province’s numerous attractions including secluded beaches such as Laem Sing beach, Chao Lao beach, Khung Krabain beach. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to drive along Chalerm Burapha Chonlathit scenic road on the way to Khung Wiman beach, you will find yourself on the winding coastal road which is known as one of the most picturesque road in the Eastern region.
