Polyphia an instrumental band based in Dallas,Texas formed in 2010. They’re known as a progressive metal band that merge many genre to their music
Polyphia first achieved mainstream success when the guitar play-through of “Impassion”, from the EP, Inspire, went viral on YouTube. The band continues to grow in popularity and have gone on several national tours sharing the stage with the likes of other progressive metal giants such as Periphery, Between the Buried and Me, and August Burns Red.
Polyphia has featured guitarists such as Jason Richardson (Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, and All Shall Perish), Aaron Marshall (Intervals), Mario Camarena (Chon), Erick Hansel (Chon), Rick Graham, Nick Johnston, and Jakub Żytecki.
The band states that their influences come from artists of all genres. The group started out with a heavier shred-oriented sound but has since matured into a more melodic-focused band. When describing the album, Muse, Timothy Henson says that the primary inspiration comes from pop and rap music as to not draw influence from other artists of their genre.
Polyphia is also known for their melodic and progressive sound which employs heavy use of technical lead guitar harmonies, yet catchy riff writing. They can be considered a member of the djent movement ,Presenting the mixture of their genre and their inspiration of Rap and Hip-Hop.
And now in Thailand with a special guest Marty Friedman, an American guitarist, known for his tenure as the lead guitarist for heavy metal band Megadeth which spanned nearly the full decade in the band . He currently releases many of his solo work which are popular in Japan.

Inspire– First EP from Polyphia released in 2013 ,The EP that features their first hit that made them well-known ‘Impassion’.
Muse-Their first full album released in 2015.The album has a mainly progressive rock with some progressive metal and apparently pop and R&B sounds. There is apparently a R&B beat in the intro of ‘87’ which is interesting for this genre.
Renaissance– Released in 2016, This second album is an album that focused on catchy melody with greatest hits like ‘Crush’ , ‘Light’ and Euphoria.
The Most Hated – Their second EP that released on 2017 with catchy riff and drum beats which inspired by Trap and Hip-Hop music.Featured hits like Goose and The Worst.
New Levels New Devils – The latest album from Polyphia in 2018 which include various of genre in their album such as Hip-Hop,Traps or even R&B with improvement of the instrumental skills.
